We are looking to appoint a caring, outgoing and enthusiastic Assistant Housemistress/Housemaster to work alongside a dedicated residential team in one of our Boarding Houses. Boarding is at the heart of Headington’s community and the Assistant Housemistress/Housemaster plays a pivotal role in taking responsibility for a house of students, providing opportunities for them to thrive and enjoy life in a home away from home. You will be actively involved in helping to cultivate an environment which provides both academic and pastoral support to the girls in the house, ensuring their welfare and development, whilst also providing them with a range of activities to enjoy beyond the curriculum.
As well as supporting the pupils within school, the Assistant Housemistress/Housemaster at Headington will represent the public face of boarding and will be actively involved in marketing boarding at Headington during open events, tours of prospective parents and other promotional activities.
Applicants will also be required to teach 0.5 of a timetable and any teaching discipline will be considered. Family self-contained accommodation is available all year round.
