The English College, Dubai, seeks a positive, reflective and diligent Assistant HR Manager for a February start. The successful candidate will have a growth mindset, a can-do attitude and high expectations. They will have strong ICT skills and will be committed to providing a high standard of accuracy in their work. They will be open and willing to learn; they will be expected to engage in professional learning with the mindset that everyone can always improve.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the HR department. Working closely with the Head of Operations to contribute towards people management strategies and facilitation at an operational level. The post holder will identify people management solutions, make recommendations for change and ensure department efficiency in addition to providing a customer focused HR service.

Key Duties include:

  • Providing clear advice, guidance and support to Leaders on all HR related matters.
  • Support with the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Overseeing the school's recruitment process.
  • Coordinate the timely processing and renewal of employee documentation and benefits.
  • Keep up to date with legal and authority changes and developments.
  • Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures.
  • Collate data and prepare reports on HR matters as and when required.

Successful applicants will:  

  • Be honest, transparent and have integrity.   
  • Have experience of working in HR at a senior level or in an equivalent role. 
  • Have experience of HR policies and processes.
  • Have an understanding of employment law and HR best practices. 
  • Be able to provide a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.  
  • Be a professional self-starter with drive and commitment.
