Assistant Leader Design Technology

Appleton Academy is an all through learning environment for pupils from nursery through to secondary.  Our building provides a wonderful environment for lifelong learning, in South Bradford.

As the Assistant Leader of Art and Design Technology,  the successful candidate will have specific responsibility for raising standards of student attainment and achievement within the faculty.  You will effectively line manage other staff within the faculty, providing individual support and appropriate professional development when required.  You will be responsible for holding Faculty team members to account for the quality of teaching over time through a systematic quality assurance cycle and teacher appraisal.

The successful applicant will:

· Have experience and knowledge of the secondary Art and Design curriculum

· Provide experience and a specialism in Design Technology

· Be a consistent and high effective practitioner 

· Plan, prepare and deliver lessons with a focus on high quality, imaginative and innovative teaching

· Be committed to the ideals and potential of all-through education
