Congelton High School are looking to appoint a Part time Assistant Medical Officer and Administration Assistant.

Part time basis: 14.5 hours per week, working across Thursday and Friday each week, 39 weeks per year.

To act as the Medical Officer and First Aider in the absence of the Medical Officer, to support our students with their medical conditions.

To take charge and be responsible for all medical incidents and deal with them appropriately

Responsible for medication and issuing medication and controlled drugs and the safe storage of such medications.

To update student files in relation to medical condtions 

To cover reception as and when required

To carry out any general administration tasks as required to meet the needs of the school.

Qualifications 

To haver a previous medical qualification and experience of working with children 

Essential to have the three day First Aider qualification

To either have attended training on the following or be prepared to do so: Paediatric Training and training on Diabetes and Asthma conditions.  

To have a good level of general education including GCSE in Mathematics and English

Congleton High School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary academy with a sixth form, located in Congleton, Cheshire. At its most recent inspection, there were 1,103 pupils aged 11-18 on the school roll, including 220 in the sixth form.
