Job overview

Lancing College is seeking to recruit an Assistant PA to the Head Master. This is a part time position, working hours will be 20 hours per week for 52 weeks per year.  Some flexibility is required and the structure of the working week may be negotiable but in outline working hours will be 8.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.   In addition, the successful post holder will be required to work approximately 12 Saturdays’ per year from 8.30am to 12.30pm (in conjunction with the PA to the Head Master) during term time for which time off in lieu will be given.  Accrued TOIL will be taken during the school holidays.

The ideal candidate will be a positive, friendly and self-motivated person with a highly organised and methodical approach to work. Excellent time management, strong administration skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential.

This is a wide-ranging post and is likely to evolve over time according to the needs of the school. This post involves handling confidential and sensitive material and information and it is vital that the candidate be able to deal confidentially, sensitively, tactfully, and politely with governors, staff, parents, pupils, visitors and members of the public alike.
