If so, from April 2018 we are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Pastoral Manager who can support and inspire students to achieve their full potential. This is a high profile and crucial role within the school community. The Pastoral Team are a central hub within the school and we are looking for a dynamic, creative and energetic person with excellent communication and organisation skills to join the team.
The successful candidate with be required to liaise closely with Pastoral Leaders and under their guidance and support be able to:
· deputise for the Pastoral Manager when dealing with students/parents/carers
· play a significant leading role in the primary to secondary transition process
· work with children in small groups and 1:1 in support of their emotional well-being and academic progress
It is a challenging but very rewarding role, requiring excellent communication and organisation skills at all levels. Candidates should be educated to ‘A’ level standard with a background of working with students and young people. The salary for this post will depend on skills and experience but will be in the range of £19,259p.a. - £22,798p.a. (Points 25 – 30) plus London Fringe £714p.a. (actual pro-rata salary stated)
Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense. Experience of working with young people is desirable but the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.
