The College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, skilled Assistant Principal, who as a member of the Senior Leadership Team will be responsible for leading the Faculty of Access and Continuing Learning.  The Faculty’s curriculum includes ESOL, General Education, Additional Support for Learning, Employability Skills and Community Learning and Development.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to contribute to the strategic development and overall operational effectiveness of the College. The successful applicant will be responsible for portfolio development and delivery, management of curriculum areas, learner experience, faculty budget control and contributing to the community planning. The post holder will ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, the Freedom of Information Act and all other rules and regulations that govern the work of the College.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Educated to SCQF level 10 (Honours degree or equivalent) with a record of continuous professional development and commitment to self-development
  • Direct relevant experience of strategic planning processes particularly in relation to the areas covered by this post
  • Proven ability to lead and initiate change
  • Substantial leadership and management experience at a senior promoted level
  • Evidence of contribution to academic development projects in the FE Sector.
