We are looking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Principal to join our senior leadership team. The role represents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed leader to develop their career by taking on a key leadership responsibility. An outstanding teacher of maths, the successful applicant will have responsibility for the strategic direction and management of key areas of responsibility across the school. Please note that this is not a dressed-up head of maths post, it is a genuine Assistant Principal role and applicants should be seeking to develop their career towards whole school leadership.
As an inspirational leader and teacher, your key responsibility will be to provide strategic leadership and direction which secures striking impact on standards and outcomes for students in our school. You will be part of a highly committed team of professionals who are passionate about raising standards and who are determined to further develop teaching and improve learning outcomes and overall provision for all students. The Assistant Principal will contribute significantly to driving school improvement by implementing and leading on high quality provision that leads to positive outcomes for students.
The Queen Elizabeth Academy is an 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone with approximately 665 pupils on roll. Following our Ofsted inspection in May 2017, we were shown to be “Good with Outstanding features”, a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. Our summer examination results were fantastic. Our performance was well above National Averages in key performance criteria and our Progress 8 score of +0.24 was strong. In November 2016, as part of the Priority School Building Programme, we moved into brand new premises that have given us access to fantastic new facilities, which really set us apart in the locality.
