Our opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a talented leader to the role of Assistant Principal (Behaviour and Welfare). You will work to the highest standards across our Sixth Form with a responsibility for overseeing behaviour, student wellbeing and safeguarding.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding leader, either currently in a senior position, or one ready for the next step into a more strategic role. You will be joining a team of staff dedicated to improving the life chances of young people form North East Sheffield and providing the best environment in which they can flourish academically and personally.
As the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Sixth Form, you will ensure that all functions of the college provide a safe and secure environment for our learners. The Assistant Principal (Behaviour and Welfare) will also ensure the effective running of the supportive elements of our pastoral provision in relation to wellbeing, behaviour, and equality and diversity. The candidate will recognise the significant role of behaviour and welfare has in shaping a student’s ability to succeed. The successful candidate will be a member of the Sixth Form Senior Leadership Team, which sets the strategic and operational direction for the Sixth Form. Strong experience in safeguarding is essential and you will have an appropriate safeguarding qualification.
