Job overview

Harris Aspire Academy provides an outstanding 'all round' education to all of its students. It is the hub for an alternative education provision, providing a personalised learning programme for its students, delivered by highly trained staff who inspire, motivate and re-engage them. Aspire gives students a second chance to achieve to their full potential. The Academy will be relocating and growing in student numbers in September 2018.

We would like to appoint an effective, dynamic and inspirational Assistant Principal to join our team for September 2017.

What we are looking for:

  • An outstanding person with the ability to be a key player in developing an already exceptional Academy further.
  • The ability to help build an innovative and exciting curriculum offer to students in KS3 to KS5
  • The drive to enable the vision of the Academy
  • A flair for creative and motivational leadership that will put learning first, ensuring that all our students benefit from an outstanding educational experience.
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner, innovative and capable of providing inspirational leadership.
  • A resourceful and enthusiastic educationalist who is committed to the highest achievement for all.

Harris Aspire Academy is the hub for an alternative education provision, providing a personalised learning programme for its students, delivered by highly trained staff who inspire, motivate and re-engage them. Aspire gives students a second chance to achieve to their full potential. All students who are referred to Harris Aspire require that extra ‘something’ to support and arm them with strategies to improve the outcome of their lives.

Aspire Academy works closely with parents and carers, communicating daily and offering them an insight, through observation and participation, to how their child will learn. They are given an opportunity to support their child in a structured environment on a weekly basis, which will help them to turn their lives around by achieving their goals/targets set.

Harris Aspire was inspected for the first time by Ofsted in 2016, when it was rated Good with Outstanding features.
