Tree Tops Academy are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal (and Class Teacher) to join the current Senior Leadership Team, contributing their energy and vision to drive the school to achieve its full potential. This is a great leadership opportunity and is ideal for those of you seeking career progression. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis starting September 2020.

The overarching purpose of the role is to provide professional leadership and management of Teaching & Learning across the school in order to raise standards of student attainment and achievement across the school. This role would particularly suit a strong and ambitious Key Stage Leader seeking to take their experience to the next level, or a current Assistant Principal looking to develop a long term career within one of the most successful Multi Academy Trusts. You will receive the support and guidance you need to not only develop the school but also your own career within the supportive environment of the Trust.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An enthusiastic and energetic Key Stage Leader or current Assistant Principal with proven successful Primary experience who is dedicated and resilient
  • A motivational and aspirational leader with high expectations of all staff
  • Confident, inspirational, able to communicate and deliver a clear vision for the school
  • Committed to developing our children to reach their full potential regardless of background or circumstance
  • Approachable and willing to work with staff across the Trust and Governors to implement strategies to move the school forward

Working for Tree Tops Primary Academy: Tree Tops Primary Academy, located on the outskirts of Maidstone, is set in magnificent grounds with ample space for both outdoor learning and play. Our thriving nursery is located on site and offers an excellent start for our children’s education. We have separate and spacious facilities for Early Years, KS1 and KS2, as well as rooms for small groups and specialist teaching.

We offer our children a range of additional experiences and support, including regular trips and visitors, sports coaching, after-school clubs, counselling and play therapy. The academy has been recognised as having ‘good’ leadership and management, and the whole staff team are striving for constant improvement together.  Our academy is a happy, caring and vibrant community which offers a stimulating learning environment. The academy caters for boys and girls from the age of three to eleven years. It is well equipped, having its own nursery, library, two halls, kitchens and extensive outdoor areas.

Being a part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
