Saracens High School is a free school in Colindale, Barnet that opened in 2018. In 2022 we will welcome our fifth cohort, we will make our final preparations for our Sixth Form, and will have our first cohort of students sit their GCSE examinations. We are expanding our Senior Leadership Team, adding a second Vice Principal and Assistant Principals to help ensure that we are able to maintain the high standards that have been achieved so far.
With strong ties to the wider Saracens organisation, we base all we do on the values Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility. We have a family ethos, that focuses on character development and making memories, as much as outstanding academic attainment. Our aim is to develop aspirational life-long learners, who will thrive in their chosen career path, embracing our values, and demonstrating a strong moral purpose and a desire to make a positive contribution to society and their local community.
Last month we moved into our brand new state of the art building, which will become be a hub of the local community, by creating mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships with local business, organisations, and individuals.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a record of leading significant improvement as a senior leader, who has enhanced the learning and experiences of their pupils. They will be a reflective practitioner, excited by taking risks, and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead to develop their skills.
This role will suit an ambitious and successful middle leader or a current Assistant Headteacher looking for a new experience. The areas of responsibility will initially be matched to the strengths of the successful candidates, and are likely to evolve over time to support their development in school leadership. Experience or a strong interest in leading a Sixth Form, or in pastoral leadership (DSL) may be an advantage.
We have excellent commuter links with the M1, A1, A41 being very close by, as well as being within walking distance of Mill Hill Broadway train station and Colindale (Northern Line).
