Assistant Principal (Curriculum – Whole School Achievement)
L11 – L15
Appointment for September 2021
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the forward-looking and ambitious leadership team at Lincroft Academy.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual with real commitment and drive, to join the Senior Leadership Team in their pursuit of continual school improvement. Teamwork and communication are critical to the role: working closely with SLT; leading middle leaders, teaching and support staff on areas of focus; working with parents, outside agencies and the community. Experience in leading a STEM subject would be advantageous.
The appointed candidate will have a proven track-record of raising standards and be able to demonstrate the impact of their current leadership role on school improvement. Our aim is to move beyond being a good school and to develop an outstanding provision for our students, and this Assistant Principal role will play an important part in this ambition.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continuing development of the curriculum and to whole school achievement, working alongside the Deputy Principal (Curriculum). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a genuine commitment to continual improvement and who understands the role that the curriculum has on the achievement of students of all abilities.
As Assistant Principal, you will be required to meet the general requirements of the post, and those of a class teacher, as specified in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and Teachers’ Standards. In addition, you will be required to fulfil any reasonable expectations from the Academy Principal. The post will require you to work in partnership with the Academy Principal, members of the Senior Leadership Team, governors, staff and students to ensure the continuous improvement and effective operation of the school.
Lincroft Academy is committed to the continuous professional development of all staff, working in collaboration and sharing best practice.
