About the School:

Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. The College has been repeatedly judged to be Outstanding in inspections. Although non-selective at admission, our students achieve exceptional exam results which compare to top UK schools. In 2017 90% of GCSE results were A*-B, and at A level 54% of all grades were A*/A with 83% A*-B. This success enables our students to move on to the very top universities around the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Yale.

Our student body is a dynamic international community of over 1,100 students from over 65 nationalities. We take pride in the development of the whole child, recognising the importance of developing cultural and global awareness. The Role:

We seek to appoint an Assistant Principal to join Jumeirah College from September 2018. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will assist with the provision of day to day leadership and management to maintain effective delivery of outstanding education. Roles and responsibilities will be determined according to the successful candidate’s strengths and the needs of the College.

To be considered for this key role, candidates must:

  • Be an effective and dynamic leader with a proven track record of innovation and impact.
  • Be vigorous in promoting school improvement as well as sharing our commitment to high standards and opportunities for all.
  • Be able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and managing staff, promoting and developing approaches to learning
  • Be an excellent communicator with students, staff and parents.
  • Have a proven track record of strategic teamwork – the ability to work together in inspired collaboration.
  • Have the confidence and experience to teach a National Curriculum subject across the secondary age range up to and including A level, holding a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
