Nacro, a social justice charity celebrating its 50th year of operation, is looking for a talented Assistant Principal to join our Education Directorate. You will be responsible for leading and managing our Education Services within Secure Settings.

This is an exciting time to join us, and you will be at the forefront of improving and expanding our Education offer within this sector. As the Assistant Principal, you will be responsible for leading the education teams which are based in three secure environments. Working closely with our Education Principal, you will also generate new business opportunities for Nacro within the secure education sector. You will lead on all aspects of service delivery including quality, strategy, improvement, assurance and performance monitoring. A strategic thinker with a passion for the highest possible standards of teaching, learning and assessment, you will have the vision and high-impact leadership skills it takes to get everyone on board.

It is essential that the successful candidate has:

  • Significant experience of managing and operating in secure education environments
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Secure Sector and associated regulatory requirements
  • The ability to focus on commercial need, with experience of maximising financial budgets and funding contracts
  • Extensive understanding of current Inspection Framework and Ofsted criteria and strategies to tackle underperformance in challenging circumstances
  • An understanding and commitment to all issues relating to Safeguarding and Equality (including H&S)
