Assistant Principal

Harris Academy St John’s Wood is at the start of an exciting journey as we transform the academy and work towards outstanding performance in all areas.

As part of this transformation, we are looking to appoint two inspirational and highly motivated Assistant Principals to the Senior Leadership Team. We can be flexible on subject specialism and responsibilities for each post. 

Harris Academy St John's Wood is a large 11-18 secondary school with a thriving sixth form located in St John's Wood. The school joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. Although located in an affluent area of London, the school serves an urban, highly multi-ethnic intake with a high pupil premium intake. If you want to make a real difference to needy young people, and be supported to do so through great training and development as well as unrivalled progression opportunities, then joining this new Harris academy could be for you. 

We are looking for committed, qualified teachers with a passion for making a real difference at an academy where students deserve the life chances that a transformational school can provide. We need senior leaders who are excellent in the classroom as well as having a proven track record of driving change at all levels.

We will provide excellent CPD support within the academy and from across the Federation with two teaching schools offering the full breadth of leadership courses. You will be joining a dedicated and committed Senior Leadership Team who want to ensure we become an Outstanding academy.

You must be a graduate, holding QTS (or equivalent), to be considered for this post.
