Due to continued expansion and investment in Secondary schools within the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust an exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an Assistant Principal – Science to join us from September 2019.
Primarily based at King's Lynn Academy the successful postholder will also support the provision of Science at King Edward VII Academy, also in King's Lynn.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing high-quality Head of Department, or existing Assistant Principal, with a proven track record of improving attainment. This leadership post would suit applicants looking to embark on the next step of their senior leadership career.
You will be responsible for leading all aspects of Science provision at King’s Lynn Academy and will have a passion for science teaching and impressive track record in leading a science team. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate students to ensure that they achieve their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a future leader to establish the first trust role of this type at Eastern Multi-Academy Trust.

In addition to holding Assistant Principal responsibilities this role will play a key part in developing the science curriculum by acting as the trust lead for science.
Skills & Experience
• You must be an existing Head of Department or an existing or aspiring Assistant Principal with a proven track record of high quality teaching and middle leadership.
• QTS is essential
• You must be driven, student focused and able to collaborate with colleagues across a range of roles, both internal and external.
• You will be engaging, enigmatic and enthusiastic while maximizing the enjoyment, engagement and outcomes of young people within the faculty.
• Ability to develop innovative, non-traditional approaches to the subject matter to ensure appropriate access and achievement for all students.
