About Cornerstone School
Cornerstone is an 11 – 19 co-educational special free school, which will open its doors to the first pupils in September 2021. Cornerstone will provide an inclusive and highly therapeutic school environment for pupils with high functioning autism and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
Cornerstone School is part of the family of Trinitas schools, and will work in close partnership with its sibling, Trinity School. Wherever possible, and appropriate to their needs, this will offer the opportunity for pupils to access mainstream schooling to support their development.
Our trust vision sees Cornerstone School recognised as a specialist resource for other Bexley schools with their staff utilising it for training and development.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be involved a school from its inception. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Executive and Associate Principals to shape the vision for the school and fulfil the vital role as SENDCo. You will play a fundamental role in the pre-opening phase of the school, including curriculum design, recruiting and building our staff teams and all day to day operations. You will work with the Associate Principal to ensure the school effectively and efficiently operates within the required regulatory frameworks and meets all statutory duties, regarding SEND, health care and other relevant areas.
What you will need to succeed
We welcome candidates who have a passion for working with SEND children, and whilst experience and qualifications are important, so is finding a candidate who will reflect our values and working practices of our welcoming trust at a senior level and share our passion and vision for the success of Cornerstone school.
