Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of an Academy that is having substantial impact on pupils’ lives.

The successful applicant will ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils. You will be responsible for the effective co-ordination and identification of need, appropriate intervention and mentoring. You will also monitor and evaluate the impact of the interventions for all pupils requiring additional support, lead an Inclusion Team, and be responsible for the budget, QA and PDR of your team.

You will be an exceptional middle/senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background. With high expectations of behaviour, you will motivate staff and pupils through high quality leadership and management. You will be an innovative manager, able to analyse and interpret Academy data to support clear, strategic decisions. You will be well supported by the senior leadership team at the Academy and the Education Support Team of the Trust, to ensure that the overall Academy vision is achieved.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff.  These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
