Thomas Rotherham College is a sixth form college and the largest sixth form provider in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We have a tradition of achievement and aim to provide a future of opportunity to all our students.

The College has maintained an extensive range of A Levels; including three modern foreign languages, Music and Further Maths; while increasing its general vocational provision.  We are proud of very positive student destinations and the wide range of enrichment activities we offer. We have a strong sporting tradition; including football and rugby academies linked to professional club; and vibrant performing and visual arts.  The College is the hub institution in Rotherham for the University of Cambridge HE+ scheme which provides curriculum extension opportunities and progression advice to more able students.

The College is part of Inspire Trust which includes Oakwood High School and Sitwell Junior School, a truly community based Trust.  As a Trust we are committed to developing a set of shared values through every aspect of our work. We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will join the College and lead Teaching, Learning and Assessment at Assistant Principal Level.  You will build on the restructuring work that has taken place and inspire, energise and embed excellent practice throughout the College.  

Candidates must be able to evidence their success in leading and delivering outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment and quality improvement strategies and expertise to provide excellence and equality in everything that they do.

It is essential that candidates evidence and share with us their educational ethos and personal characteristics that demonstrate their potential to lead Teaching, Learning and Assessment and command the respect of the student and staff body.  .
