Copley Academy is a popular and improving school seeking to appoint a committed, hardworking Assistant Principal who can live and breathe our GREAT values and lead the excellent work already taking place to develop and improve the school. We are a small secondary school with a supportive staff who are fully committed to our improvement journey. Leaders and colleagues are determined to regain ‘Good’ and work towards being the outstanding school that we know Copley Academy can be.
This is an exciting role and opportunity to work with a newly appointed Principal within Great Academies Education Trust with great colleagues, great support and great students. You will be supported at every step by the recently appointed GAET Chief Executive Officer, the Trust Board, a Local Governing Committee, a committed senior leadership team and the Trust improvement and support team (GIST).
Initially the remit of this role will be to have a focus on the leadership development of Teaching, Learning and Progress across the academy. Other roles and responsibility will be negotiated upon appointment to reflect the strengths of the successful candidate and the needs of Copley Academy.

Our new Assistant Principal should have experience of driving change and the ability to support students and colleagues throughout the improvement journey.
