
Assistant School Chaplain

(Lay or Ordained)
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and able applicant to assist the Chaplain in the smooth running of all areas of Chapel life at Wycombe Abbey.
The position is open to lay or ordained people, but perhaps particularly suited to a graduate who has worked in a school, church or Christian organisation and is seeking to be involved in Christian ministry or possibly, in time, is seeking ordination.
A priority of this post is the building of positive and supportive relationships with pupils and staff across the community and a willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school whether that be in the classroom, the sports field and/or co-curricular programmes. In addition to providing excellent pastoral care across the whole school with girls aged 11-18. The post will also involve leading Chapel services, overseeing the Charity work within School and continuing to develop strong relationships with the local community.
The successful candidate must be a committed Christian with some experience of Christian involvement and leadership in Church, schools or other context, and must demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
This has the potential to be a residential post with accommodation provided throughout the year.
