36 hours per week, term time only (45.6 weeks)
Commencing as soon as possible
We are looking to recruit a qualified and talented Assistant SENDCO to support the SENDCO with both strategic and operational planning, ensuring that pupils with SEND achieve the best possible outcomes in line with all other pupils, and to take the lead with provision and support at KS4.
The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner who understands the demands of pupils with a wide range of special needs and disabilities. You will have sound experience of working with SEND students, with an awareness of the range of strategies available to address the differing needs which exist in the mixed ability classroom, enabling pupils to overcome their barriers to learning.
You will be working with and supported by an experienced team of teachers and leaders, Teaching Assistants and HI Communicators. The school has a successful HI provision with capacity for up to 13 learners.
