Assistant Subject Leader - Science 

Mainscale or UPS plus TLR 2b (£4,442 per annum)  

Permanent, Full Time Contract commencing 1 September 2018

Due to the retirement of a long-serving, valued and highly effective Head of Science, we have the opportunity to look at the staffing of the department as a whole and the leadership and management roles within.  Three posts are being advertised:

• Head of Department;  

• Assistant Subject Leader;  

• Teacher of Science.       

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher with a proven record of outstanding practice, including some experience of excellent management and leadership, in order to continue to drive forward our very strong team of Science teachers.  We will require candidates to teach across the age and ability range and contribute to the continued development of this successful department.  Science is a key department in our journey to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school.  

The successful candidate must be committed to the ideals of Science learning for all and to the practicalities of delivering the very best learning experiences to all of our students.
