As the Assistant Team Leader of Maths at Westborough High School you will be part of a motivated, committed and hard-working team who support each other and are committed to improving the learning experience and progress of students.  The Maths department is highly effective and has a wealth of experience within the team.

The focus of this post is to further improve the quality and consistency of Teaching and Learning within Mathematics and develop assessment and intervention in order to improve progress and outcomes for our students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Team Leader in the monitoring of the quality of Teaching and Learning
  • Using their knowledge, understanding and experience to improve the practice of teachers
  • Modelling professional standards and maintaining high expectations at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Consistently delivers Good and Outstanding lessons to the full 11-16 age range
  • Has experience of developing effective teaching resources and strategies and is proactive about sharing good practice with colleagues
  • Has sound knowledge of how to improve standards within a department.
