We have an opportunity to join the International Baccalaureate team in the Faculty of English, Languages and IB. The Faculty was awarded Grade 1 in the Ofsted inspection in 2014. We deliver a range of provision across English, Modern Foreign Languages, Classics and the IB at Levels two and three, with excellent progress and success rates. This role is for an Associate Lecturer to deliver IB Global Politics.
You will be expected to support learners of all abilities to achieve their full potential. The teaching hours will be flexible according to demand and require a regular daytime commitment throughout the academic year. Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate curriculum is highly desirable, although not essential. Global Politics is currently delivered to one group of first year learners across two days per week. The course is new to the IB programme at the College and there is potential to grow the provision further.
We are seeking to appoint the candidate(s) with the greatest ability, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in the classroom. Ideally you will have a teaching qualification, although this is not essential.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS. We do not accept CVs, no agencies please.
