Job overview

Help us ensure that obstacles in children’s lives don’t become barriers.

At the heart of Academy Transformation Trust, Phoenix Academy in Walsall gives primary age pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties the best possible start in life. We’re here to help them develop enquiring minds, become independent, love learning and carve their niche in a world they may find difficult and confusing.

Building on the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda and our innovative Thematic Curriculum, you will closely partner the Principal, Senior Management Team, colleagues and the local community to take the Academy to the next level.

We will look to you to fine-tune our curriculum, champion continuous improvement, create effective policies and procedures, implement best practice in behaviour management and oversee all aspects of inclusion and SENCO duties. Above all, you will raise the profile of Phoenix Academy and place it at the heart of daily life in Walsall, whilst doing whatever it takes to help our students get ahead.

Already a successful leader at an SEN/EBD school, you will bring the experience, enthusiasm and judgment to make a difference to the lives of children with complex needs. Like us, you will be deeply committed to safeguarding, passionate about releasing potential and keen to set new standards in everything you do.

So, if you’re dedicated to breaking down the barriers and helping children discover their self-worth, it’s time we talked.

For an informal chat or to arrange a visit, please contact Greg Bowkett at: g.bowkett@academytransformation.co.uk

To apply now, please visit www.academytransformationtrust.co.uk/vacancies and complete the online form.

Closing date: Midday on 26 September 2017.

Academy Transformation Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant must undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks.
