
Associate Skills Trainer/ Assessor – Front of House Hospitality

Please note, this is a zero-hour position, with the working hours dependent on apprentice caseload. Hours are flexible to suit the lecturer and apprentice, as assessments will be conducted mainly in the apprentice’s workplace.
We are looking for a Lecturer – Skills Trainer / Assessor who has the ability to teach and assess in front of house hospitality, both practical and theory mainly in the workplace environment but sometimes in college. You must be an experienced and qualified hospitality professional with recent experience of teaching over the full range of NVQ qualifications. Ideally you will also have experience training and assessing hospitality apprentices up to level 3. A good working knowledge of the new apprentice Standards is also essential.
To be suitable for this role the applicant must be a motivated, positive person with the drive to maintain our high standards. You will have qualifications, teaching and assessing experience in hospitality and management and be familiar with the content of the NVQ and Apprentice Standards. You will be responsible for a caseload of apprentice learners in their teaching, learning and assessment to exceptional standards and maintain accurate records. You will also work as part of the work-based learning team within the Hospitality, Hair and Beauty Faculty of Exeter College.

Driving licence required - mileage paid.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS.
