Job overview

We are seeking a well organised Attendance and Administration Officer to perform the administration of attendance and registration at Oxford High Senior School and become an important part of our small, close knit, and busy office team.   

You will display a caring, positive and welcoming image to all students, parents, staff and visitors. As well as administrating daily attendance, you will provide a general administrative service within the school office and when required, assist on the Reception desk. You must be able to work accurately and maintain a high level of attention to detail as well as be able to multitask and prioritise as necessary across a range of tasks each day.

You will need a level of IT competence to meet the demands of the role, a knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the willingness to learn new skills on school-based IT systems. In addition, a sense of humour, good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner are essential.

About Oxford High School for Girls GDST

Oxford High School is an independent, non-denominational, all-through school for girls without nursery and with sixth form, situated in three sites in Summertown, North Oxford. It is one of 26 members of the GDST (Girls’ Day School Trust), meaning it is governed by the council and operates according to the trust’s policy. The school provides 906 places for primary, secondary and sixth-form students aged 4-19.

Oxford High School was founded in 1875 and is the oldest girls' school in the city. Until recently it accepted boys into its junior school, but is now girls-only.
