We are seeking to appoint a resourceful and highly effective Attendance and Family Support Officer for this key role within our school. The emphasis will be on supporting identified children and families with the aim of improving educational outcomes for students.

Working with students, families and staff to overcome barriers to attendance, you will help to ensure that all students are able to attend school and achieve their full potential. Early support and high quality, positive relationships with students and families is paramount to the success of this objective, and you would play a fundamental role in realising this and helping us achieve our attendance targets. 

You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role and will have accomplished the skills to instigate successful strategies and rewards to ensure good attendance at our school. However, training can be provided for a suitable candidate with no experience but has the necessary skills. You will have knowledge and experience of multi-agency working and relevant statutory processes and regulations, and have an established, positive record of dealing with challenging young people. If you are a determined, motivated and innovative team player, committed to the schools’ ethos and aspirations, you can look forward to the chance to help shape the model of delivery for the school whilst working within a hardworking and supportive team focussed on making a real difference to young people.

About Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre

Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Worcestershire, serving students from the age of 13-18. The secondary school, situated in Redditch has approximately 934 students on record.

Formerly Redditch County High School, the school opened in 1932, being renamed to Abbey High School in 1974 when it changed from a grammar to a comprehensive school. The school reopened as Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre in 2001, and in the same same year converted to academy status. It was identified as good by Ofsted in 2015.

Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students to expand their experiences and develop skills in leadership and teamwork, ranging from the Duke of Edinburgh Award to careers workshops.
