Number on roll: 818 (Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y10 at present), set to rise to 1070 in September 2018 with new intake.

Attendance and Welfare Office Team Leader

Grade SO1: £25,951 - £27,668 Pro rata 

Actual starting salary £22,291 for 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 days

(subject to a 6 month probationary period)

Working as part of the Inclusion Team, we are looking to appoint an Attendance and Welfare Office Team Leader who:

  • Is a compassionate individual with a practical approach to providing support and challenge regarding the punctuality and attendance of our students
  • Has a positive and flexible approach
  • A person who can communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
  • Is tenacious and does not stop until the required outcome is achieved. 

The purpose of this post is to analyse and identify student absences and take appropriate action to support students back into the academy. We feel very strongly that young people need to be educated in the widest sense of the word, and that part of this education includes making positive choices, including an understanding of the impact of their attendance on their academic achievements. As an innovator and educator you will see the breadth of this opportunity and will be excited by the potential to have a positive impact on students attendance, and ultimately their academic achievements.
