St. Mark’s CofE School is a small secondary school based on the outskirts of Bath within distance of Corsham and Bradford-on-Avon. We are part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership Trust alongside Beechen Cliff and Hayesfield in Bath.
St Mark’s School is seeking to appoint an attendance assistant, following the internal appointment of our exams officer. The postholder will provide a full and confidential support service to our Deputy Head of Pastoral, Progress Leaders and will be an active member of the pastoral support team. The postholder will maintain accurate and up to date attendance/lateness records both manually and electronically and to support ongoing monitoring of attendance for all children to promote good attendance across the school; The post holder will provide data to track pupil attendance and be the first point of contact, regarding daily attendance, for parents.
The postholder will represent the School by being professional, articulate and well presented at all times. They will act as the main point of contact for parents and students with regard to attendance related matters.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages. They will have the ability to work under pressure, work to deadlines and use their initiative. Please see the job description for further details
Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week, TTO + 5 inset days
