Grade: E (SCP 15 - 20) £22911 - £25295 FTE

Actual Salary:  £19619 - £21660 per annum

Hours Per Week: 37

Weeks Per Year: 39

We are looking for a highly motivated person to manage our student attendance.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills, ensuring the provision of a professional and effective service working and liaising with all stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Monitoring and analysis of student attendance data, providing daily and weekly updates to school leaders, SLT and other stakeholders

• Preparation of documentation and reports for internal and external use

• Accurate management of student attendance through Management Information Systems and Local Authority processes

• Identification of absence and punctuality trends in order to prepare strategic intervention appropriately; implementing strategies to help raise/improve student attendance and punctuality

• Management of the staged absence response processes including communication with relevant staff/agencies/parties

• Support and challenge parents/carers around issues to help raise and improve student punctuality and attendance

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with students and their families; maintaining a firm, friendly and professional approach to your support

• Supervision, management and development of the attendance team
