We are seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer to support pupils in overcoming barriers to engagement in education. Working as part of our dedicated pastoral team, the successful applicant will work to maximise pupil attendance in school, identifying pupils who are absent and conducting investigations to locate them. You will require strong listening and communication skills, to enable you to forge positive relationships with pupils, parents and outside agencies which allow school to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.

As an integral part of our safeguarding processes, the successful candidate must have strong organisational skills and be able to work efficiently, accurately and to firm deadlines, keeping student data up to date to ensure school complies with applicable laws, codes and requirements.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills.  

It is essential that this postholder has a full valid driving licence and access to their own vehicle (with business insurance) as home visits will form part of this role.

The hours for this vacancy are 37 per week/39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 inset/additional days), and are Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 4.00pm.
