Attendance Officer

Start Salary Grade 7, Points 21 -24, £20,826 - £23,577 (£23,033 - £26,075 full time equivalent)

Term time: 37 hours per week (38 weeks per annum) with 111 additional hours in school holidays (equivalent to 3 weeks).

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with relevant experience and a high level of personal drive and energy, who will be able to contribute to improving the attendance of the students at our school. You will be self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team worker.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and enjoys working with students and their families in order to remove any barriers to ensuring they achieve high levels of attendance. The successful candidate will promote whole school attendance strategies to improve excellent attendance and reduce persistent absence alongside administrative tasks for recording, managing and monitoring attendance.

The successful candidate will require the following skills:

·        Be professional, friendly and a good role model for students.

·        Have the ability to build good relationships with parents, students, colleagues and other agencies.

·        Have the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.

·        Have good IT skills and knowledge of SIMs

·        Understand school management systems.

·        Able to work using your own initiative, with minimum supervision?

·        Be a flexible, proactive and a team player?

·        Proficient in Maths & English?

·        An excellent communicator, both written & verbal?
