This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of the admin team at the Grammar School at Leeds from January 2018. This role is predominantly to work closely with the pastoral and administration teams to ensure that registration, absence and attendance procedures are correctly followed across senior school and to drive to improve pupil’s attendance and punctuality, should problems arise.
We are looking for someone who is influential and can embed processes across school to make sure we continue to maintain accurate and timely registrations in line with legal requirements. This new role comes about from a change in our admin structure to centralise attendance work in senior school which currently sits with each year group administrator. A key focus of the role is to analyse patterns, communicating these to the pastoral team, as absence is not a major issue at the school.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding administrator with experience of working independently and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff. They will have exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent IT skills. Experience of working in a school or other educational establishment in a similar role will be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
The position forms part of our wider admin team which covers Human Resources, exams, data management and school administration across our Senior School, Junior School and Rose Court, at Headingley.
Full details of the post are shown in the job description and person specification on the school’s website.
Application is by completion of the online GSAL application form.
Closing date: 9.00 am on Monday 27 November 2017
Interviews will be held on: Friday 1 December 2017
