TERM TIME WITH TRAINING DAYS -  WITH NO TERM TIME LEAVE

 

We are excited to have the opportunity to add an attendance officer to our dedicated team. The successful applicant will provide operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies, to reduce absences and improve excellent attendance.


The Attendance Officer will analyse attendance data to maximise pupil attendance in school. This will include working with school staff to identify pupils who are absent or truant, contacting parents/carers by telephone, conducting investigations to locate truant pupils and enforcing compliance of applicable laws, codes and requirements. Travel is necessary for this role therefore a driving license is preferred. The applicant will work closely with multi agency, parents and carers, students and staff to improve attendance and increase access to learning.

Ysgol y Grango is an English-medium, 11-16 secondary school located in the village of Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham. As Ysgol y Grango does not have a sixth form, students typically transfer to Coleg Cambria in Wrexham when they reach the end of their time at Grango.
