Part-time (working 22 hours per week for 40 weeks per academic year. You will be paid extra weeks to reflect holiday entitlement of 5 weeks plus 1.6 weeks’ bank holiday entitlement. This salary is divided into equal monthly payments and paid over the whole year until the end of August. (£18,177 per annum is the full time equivalent salary which would be for working 37 hours per week for 52 weeks per year).

We provide Further Education and Higher Education at our Campuses at Bishop Burton College near Beverley and at Riseholme College near Lincoln which includes a brand new Showground Campus featuring state of the art teaching environments, engineering workshops, sports facilities, world class laboratories and an industry leading animal management unit. The College animal facilities house a multitude of exotic animals including; meerkats, wallabies, rhea, reptiles, primate and companion species. We also have a commercial boarding kennels and grooming parlour to support teaching and learning practices. At our Bishop Burton campus we have undergone a multi-million pound campus development programme including significant investment in state of the art teaching and learning facilities, sports facilities, a commercially run farm and an international standard equestrian facility.

Working five mornings per week, 8:30 am – 12:15 pm, you will be responsible for supporting the improvement of punctuality and attendance for Maths & English lessons. You will regularly communicate with students, their parents/ guardians and as well as relevant curriculum departments any issues relating to barriers to learning. You will appropriately challenge students who are not in their allocated lessons and support students individually in overcoming any issues relating to their attendance.

You will also coordinate and manage student and family meetings, by offering further support or guidance through the promotion of positive attitudes. In turn this will help students in fulfilling their full potential whilst ensuring parents have the tools available in aiding the student’s educational attainment.

Educated to GCSE, or equivalent in both English and Maths you will have the ability to write to a good standard of literacy with excellent report writing skills. You will be experienced in using IT systems to compile reports, as well as the ability to analyse data. You should also possess excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work with minimum supervision.
