Autism Specialist Teacher

October 2021 – July 2022 ( 2 terms)

£132 - £201 per day (including SEN allowance) - Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. 

The Role

The Autism Specialist Teacher will be responsible for the education and progress of neurodiverse learners, using a range of exciting and stimulating teaching strategies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Create and maintain an environment appropriate for young people with Autism
  • Develop and manage support staff
  • Assess for progress and adapt curriculum
  • Teach to a nurture model – across the curriculum and following nurture principles
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers

Requirements

To be considered for the Autism Specialist Teacher post, you will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching young people with Autism.
