Framlingham College is a co-educational day and boarding school comprising of the Prep School in the beautiful surroundings of Brandeston Hall, and the Senior School which is set in the stunning surroundings in the market town of Framlingham.

We require qualified nurses who hold an active NMC registration to join our busy school Medical Centre on a flexible basis to cover periods of increased demand, staff training, and absences. The position will involve providing first-line day and/or overnight medical cover to boarding pupils. Experience in A&E, practice or paediatric nursing would be an advantage.

JOB PURPOSE

We require qualified nurses who hold active NMC registration to join our busy school Medical Centre on a flexible basis to cover periods of increased demand, staff training, and absences. The position will involve providing first-line day and/or overnight medical cover to boarding pupils. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is not an exhaustive list and the post holder will be expected to show flexibility and assist with other tasks of a similar nature. The post holder will be expected to work at Framlingham Prep as well as Senior School as necessary. 

• To provide a high standard of nursing care to pupils within professional competence and NMC guidelines.

• To provide first line overnight medical response and care for boarding pupils/inpatients.

• To assist with health assessments, immunisation and health promotion programmes with the pupils, following good practice and specific directives on immunisation procedures relevant to the school population and individuals.

• To assist with the immunisation programme for all boarding pupils within the national immunisation schedule for school children.

• Provide confidential advice and/or support to all pupils and staff as necessary.

• To assist with the organisation and running of the Medical Centre surgeries.

Framlingham College is a boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3-18 which offers flexible and full boarding options.
