An exciting opportunity for an energetic, creative, and committed Progress leader has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. This is an opportunity for a dedicated educator to make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FE college, and to prove themselves as a dedicated and reliable progress leader that has students at the heart of what they do. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons from Entry Level up to L3 students and manage a caseload of students for group tutorials focusing on the PHSE curriculum.  They will also be expected to meet with their caseload of students on a 1:1 basis and look at the progress they are making, what support is needed and ensure the student is on track to succeed. You must be able to work at a face pace, manage a number of different priorities, work with different curriculum teams and have an understanding of student support and safeguarding.   


The central focus of a Progress leader role is to ensure our students gain the necessary qualification, skills and expertise that are necessary to forge a path of employment.


Further to this, the progress leader provides a creative and supportive environment with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, to help all students reach their fullest potential, both while they are studying with us, and when they leave to embark on their careers.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.

However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options. 

Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
