Hours:  37 hours per week starting at 7.45am

Weeks:  39 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 3 (£16,123 - £17,772) pro rata

The governors of Hillsborough Primary School are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Intervention Worker to join our team.

Hillsborough Primary School is a two form entry primary school and nursery in north Sheffield, and was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in June 2015. The school is at the heart of its community and in November 2013 became a member of Tapton School Academy Trust. Tapton is an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Sheffield and the Academy Trust is establishing itself within the city.

Membership of the Academy Trust provides a range of opportunities for partnership working and continuing professional development with an outstanding secondary school and a network of primary schools within the locality. We are all working together to establish really effective practice for the benefit of every child.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Inclusion Team providing behaviour intervention support to classrooms, 1:1 and small group anger management sessions, managing the internal isolation space and supporting the behaviour management systems in school as well as assisting with the supervision of Breakfast Club.

You will need to have:


  • Excellent      behaviour management skills
  • A      clear understanding of behaviour interventions and experience of working      with challenging pupils
  • Excellent      organisational and teamwork skills
