We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring leader to manage our new resource base for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Elmgreen School is an inclusive school and has recently established the first secondary age resource base for pupils whose behaviour is a barrier to learning. There will be a maximum of 15 pupils in the base and they will be able to access 75% of their learning in mainstream lessons, with a range of support and interventions to ensure they succeed. We are striving for the resource base to be a centre of excellence and this is a unique opportunity to be part of a team showing what non-selective education can achieve for all pupils in our community. The Elmgreen School provides a first class learning environment based on outstanding teaching, great relationships and excellent facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our successful Additional Educational Needs (AEN) department and join our dedicated team of staff. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic behaviour lead to coordinate pupil’s timetables within the resource base and play an active role on leading and delivering the proactive behaviour support throughout the school.
The ideal candidate will:
• be able to motivate and inspire pupils;
• have experience of working with pupils and managing behaviour;
• have previous experience of delivering behaviour support interventions;
• be keen to learn and develop their skills;
• be committed to having high expectations for all pupils.
No CVs or agencies please.
Closing date: Midday, Thursday 16 May 2019.
In line with our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, appointment will be subject to DBS check and satisfactory references.
