Oct 2021 – July 2022 potential to be extended due to funding. 

At Vision we are always looking to appoint talented Teaching Assistant’s that have the skills and attributes to support children in our primary settings across Bolton. 

We are looking for someone who has experience with children, this may be in school or within other children’s settings. 

This is a role is ideal for an experienced or newly qualified Teaching Assistant looking for their new opportunity. This particular role is located in a large primary school in the Bolton Area. 

The role

As a behaviour mentor you will possess the following skills; 

• The maturity to deliver a supportive and nurturing environment

• Developed Interpersonal skills; flexibility, motivation, responsible nature, dependable, patient

• Listening skills – must be able to actively listen to the challenges that children display. 

• Organisational skills – be able to report and feedback to Class Teacher 

• Proven record of discussing children’s academic levels in a clear and consistent manner. 

• Ability to break down tasks

• Problem solving skills – level head, innovative to support children’s learning and development

• Assertiveness – honesty, self-confident, aware of own emotions and empathetic to children’s

• Resilient nature 

• A non-judgemental approach

• Ability to relate to young people and act as a role model

The school

Requirements

To be considered for Behaviour Mentor positions, you must:

• Experience of working with children in the last 2 Years or Level 2 or above qualification in a relevant subject with recent experience with children. 

• SEN experience desirable but not essential 

• Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri
