About the role

To work with students on a one-to-one or small-group basis in our Internal Inclusion Unit (ICE), to co-ordinate lesson resources and to overcome students’ barriers to learning and behaviour in order to achieve their full potential.

HOURS 37 hours per week

TERM TIME 39 weeks per year

TEMPORARY - Fixed term of up to 12 months subject to the early return of the post holder

Who we are looking for

Experience of working with young people aged 11-19 in a secondary school setting

Good ICT skills (including using Microsoft Excel)

Knowledge and understanding of strategies to overcome barriers to learning and behaviour

The ability to work flexibly

Good organisation, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.

Recognised social care qualification.

Charnwood College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with sixth form, situated in the west of Loughborough in Leicestershire. The academy is part of the David Ross Education Trust and is governed by a Local Governing Body.

The secondary academy has expressive arts facilities which include a dedicated music suite and dance and drama studio. In addition, its sports facilities include a floodlit, all-weather 3G sports pitch, a new sports centre, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, a gym, a fitness suite, and extensive playing fields.
