For September 2019, Cheltenham College seeks to appoint an excellent honours graduate to join its thriving Biology Department. In addition to teaching Biology, the ability to teach Chemistry would be highly desirable.
The post would suit equally an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, or a teacher beginning his or her career. The department will provide the requisite support for an NQT, and College has its own comprehensive staff induction program.
In addition to having the ability to create enthusiasm and excitement for the subject, the successful candidate will be able to stretch the highest attaining pupils, (including to Oxbridge level), whilst also being able to use a range of strategies to teach across the ability range.
Examination results at GCSE and A Level are excellent and uptake of all three Sciences at A Level is strong.
The College has its own salary scale, and applicants will wish to contribute to College’s rich co-curricular programme.
