Bellver International College is a non-denominational, co-educational day school. Founded in 1950, Bellver is the longest established privately owned British school in Spain. The school is currently responsible for the education of around 250 children, from 3 to 18 years-old. We cater for children of both the local community and the international community of Mallorca. Due to our one-form-entry system, the number of students in each form rarely exceeds 20.
The college is situated close to the beach (opposite to the King of Spain's summer palace) in a residential area 3 km from the centre of Palma de Mallorca. Thanks to its location and climate, Mallorca is one of the most vibrant islands in the Mediterranean, being both culturally and economically active all year round.
The school is looking to appoint a well qualified, enthusiastic and experienced Biology teacher to join our successful Secondary School Department in September 2017. The position would particularly suits someone who wants to encourage a culture of inspiration and success, preparing students to study at top universities.
Biology is a very popular subject at Bellver International College, offering a very exhaustive programme of studies which is complemented by various excursions in the Balearic Islands or, as it has been the case this year, to other areas in Spain (such as Tenerife). The successful candidate will be expected to teach the subject across Key Stages 3 to 5, display and promote excellence in teaching and learning and have the ability to inspire pupils.
The school welcomes applications from newly qualified teachers.
Letters of application should be accompanied by a CV, names and e-mail addresses of at least two referees (including one from the most recent school employer) and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information regarding the position is available upon request.
