Boarding house director (starting on August 2017)

The boarding house director must make all the necessary adjustments to ensure the boarding students are well cared for on an educational, personal, academic, social and cultural level as well promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

Main tasks:

  • Personally follow the boarders (work, discipline, general attitude, visa,
    pocket money, residence permit) and ensure their health and safety ;
  • Supervision of the entire boarding house team : managers and house
    parents;
  • Provide instruction and information to the boarders;
  • Responsibility for compliance with the Code of Conduct: discipline,
    politeness, community life, dress code, order and security;
  • Maintain a good relationship and open communication with the parents ;
  • Work with the Collège’s educational and administrative community ;
  • Work closely with the deans, teachers, school nurse and be present at class councils;
  • Organisation of week-ends and holidays for the 7 days boarders and those who do not go home for certain school holidays.

Your profile :

  • With at least 5 years of experience in boarding house management, you
    have an easy contact with teens from 11 to 20;
  • Fluent in French or English with proficiency in the other language ;
  • Vocation in guiding children with a role that is similar to those of parents;
  • Clean criminal records.

 Collège Champittet is an co-educational private school located in Pully, the Swiss canton of Vaud. The school itself is located on the banks of Lake Geneva, close to the Olympic Museum and the centre of Lausanne. Here students can study for a Swiss Maturité, French Baccalaureate, or International Baccalaureate diploma, can follow a bilingual French/English programme, and can become fluent in German. The school teaches from kingergarten through secondary. Boarding school students are accepted from the age of 12. The school is part of Nord Anglia Education, a collection of 43 international schools located in 15 countries worldwide. Extra-curricular activities include entrepreneurship, coding, sports clubs, cultural activities such as singing and drama or language classes. The school was founded in 1903, and merged with Mont Olivet school in 2016.
