Ripon Grammar School is a nationally renowned boarding and day school where academic progress and outcomes are exceptionally high and where a commitment to educating the whole child is highly valued.
We are seeking an outstanding teacher who will also be a resident Housemaster or Housemistress in our boys’ boarding house. This position is also a teaching post with any subject area considered. However, the ability to teach PE and/or History/Politics would be considered an advantage.
The successful candidate must have experience of a boarding school environment, ideally had residential experience, a deep passion for education and be in sympathy with selective education.
This is a residential post and family accommodation will be provided.
The role will include teaching a reduced timetable and will be paid on the teaching scale at the relevant point with an additional allowance paid for boarding responsibilities.
Ripon Grammar School is situated in the historic city of Ripon and is set amidst the stunning countryside of North Yorkshire, near to the Yorkshire Dales and within easy access to Harrogate, York and Leeds.

Ripon Grammar School has been a place of learning since its re-foundation in 1555 but records suggest that the school can trace its origins back to at least the 14th Century.
