Job overview

St Edward's Oxford has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Boathouse Manager to manage the day to day running of the Boathouse.

As Boathouse Manager you'll play a pivotal role in the rowing programme at St Edward's, helping to organise, run and control the sport of rowing at the school. You will assume responsibility for the day to day running of the Boathouse and its workshops, as well as the management and maintenance of the Boathouse site. Rowing is a major contributor to the school’s sporting activities, with all pupils in school crews competing at several heads and regattas, including the School’s Head, National Schools Regatta & Henley Royal Regatta.

A flexible and organised individual, you will bring an extensive technical skillset to the role, possessing excellent carpentry and DIY skills for repairing rowing equipment. Previous experience of rowing coaching with pupils of this age would be an advantage, or a willingness to undertake additional training towards a qualification if not. A driving license with the ability to tow a boat trailer is essential.
